Michael P. Karst

Michael devotes his practice to counseling and litigating claims on behalf of employers in termination, wage and hour, and labor disputes. He investigates and defends claims involving alleged discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. Michael represents his clients throughout administrative proceedings, arbitrations, and litigation before state and federal courts.

Prior to joining KWW, Michael worked at a local labor-side law firm where he gained insight on how employers can avoid disputes before they occur. However, when matters do require litigation Michael is an aggressive advocate who attempts to uncover potentially hidden evidence, especially electronically stored information, to pursue an early disposition of the case.

Michael prides himself on the personal attention given to each client. He strives to return phone calls and emails promptly and ensures that clients are kept up to date on the status of their matter. Michael also understands that workplace questions arise at all hours of the day. For that reason, Michael is happy to schedule phone calls and meetings outside the normal 9-5, Monday to Friday work week.
